In the Bavarian Forest region, very close to the Wellness and Wellbeing Hotel Waldeck Bavarian Forest Bodenmais, there is a real cross-country skiing paradise. Over 600 kilometers of groomed cross-country ski trails around the Bodenmais Bavarian Forest Active Center are just waiting to be discovered by sports-minded visitors. In addition, thanks to its altitude, the Bodenmais Bretterschachten Bavarian Forest are is considered the most snow-sure cross-country skiing destination in all of Central Europe. While elsewhere people often complain about poor snow and weather conditions, here the season with natural snow lasts from December until the end of March. Several 100 kilometers of the entire cross-country skiing network are freshly prepared here day after day, in order to always be able to guarantee high-quality routes.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The longest tour in the Bodenmais Bavarian Forest area is the Auerhahnloipe and extends over a whole 30km. The 8km long skating trail is also considered a special highlight. With its extra wide prepared tour run, it leads winter sports enthusiasts all the way to Bodenmais<\/p>\n<\/div>

The \u201eseason finale of cross-country skiers in Central Europe\u201c is already a tradition in Bodenmais. Every year, the town in the heart of the Bavarian Forest turns into a Mecca for more than cross-country skiers from over 20 nations on the third weekend in March. Both top and amateur athletes come together on the cross-country trails under the Gro\u00dfer Arber to finish the winter season together. How snow-sure the Bodenmais cross-country skiing area is, is shown by the unique scheduling of the event. Internationally successful cross-country skiers compete for titles, honors and the famous JOSKA trophies, which are made in Bodenmais. For amateur skiers, the event offers a unique opportunity to compete directly against the world class of cross-country skiing. At the same time, it represents the finale of the cross-country skiing series of the German Ski Association. Whether it is a 30-kilometer race in the skating technique or 42 kilometers in the classic technique – in any case, guests and participants of the cross-country skiing event can expect a diverse, colorful and varied program<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
